We are delighted to have the wonderful Barberi family
as the Keynote Speakers at our 2026 Parent Conference.
This is Amy, Mike, and Luke's real-world experience of learning to navigate the unexpected with hope, courage, and humor. Through their family's story, they'll share how one simple philosophy shaped the decisions they made, the challenges they faced, and the opportunities they never saw coming. Whether you're parenting a young child or an adult, you'll leave encouraged to embrace possibility—even when the future is uncertain.
About the Barberi Family
Amy and Mike Barberi and their son Luke are Napa Valley natives who are passionate about inclusion, self-advocacy, and helping families feel less alone, whatever journey they’re on. Luke is a recent high school graduate with Down syndrome and Type 1 diabetes who spent much of his education included in general education classrooms. He is now enrolled at Napa Valley College, works part time at a local winery, and dreams of being a singer, songwriter, actor, rapper, and dancer. Together, the Barberi Family shares a warm, personal, practical perspective on advocacy, independence, and life after high school for students with disabilities.
