High Hopes Gala Helps Children with Special Needs

High Hopes Gala at the Westin Verasa Napa.

ParentsCAN’s High Hopes Gala was held on Saturday February 24th at the Westin Verasa Napa to celebrate and honor families of children with special needs, recognizing the heroic efforts they make to ensure their children achieve their brightest future.

180 attendees at the sold-out event enjoyed the warm hospitality of Chef Ken Frank and the staff of Westin Verasa Napa. As guests entered the event they had the opportunity to be photographed by Aurora Heitman, Pearly Hens Photography, while they sipped sparkling wine, sampled delicious passed hors d’oeuvres, listened to the music of Sachiel Brito and bid on enticing goods and services including original art, spa services, fine dining and, of course, select Napa wines.

Once the doors to the ballroom opened, local celebrity and KTVU sportscaster Mark Ibanez, the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, welcomed guests and kicked the evening’s program off. Acclaimed Chef Ken Frank brought his distinctive, personalized touch to creating a memorable dining experience for the event. While the luscious dinner was being served, guests raised their auction paddles to bid during the live auction session. The spirited bidding was doubtless helped by auctioneer Kanani Reynolds of KLM Auctions. Guests responded generously! Michael Pritchard, nationally acclaimed comedian and keynote speaker entertained and inspired the audience with his singular talents!

Saturday night brought together a community of people who care about those families among us who are struggling daily to provide the best care possible for their child with special needs. ParentsCAN wishes to thank everyone involved with the evening – the organizations who sponsored the event, those who donated auction items, the professionals who donated their talents, and the guests who contributed generously.
